Exploration Conference
The American Society of Association Executives
will hold its 2019 Technology Exploration Conference
Dec. 3–4 in Washington, D.C.
According to organizers, this event is tailored
to the needs of an increasingly technology-driven
community. Association CIOs, CEOs, technology
professionals and other professionals with roles or
interest in digital and mobile solutions will nd the
education, solutions and connections they’re look-
ing for. Through real-world case studies and skills
building, participants can jump-start their use of

Nonprot Finance and
Accounting Symposium
The Greater Washington Society of CPAs will
host its Annual Nonprot Finance and Accounting
Symposium Dec. 17–18 in Washington, D.C.
According to organizers, the symposium will offer
sessions and workshops on topics from the technical
to the inspiring, as well as opportunities to connect
with over 750 peers.
Examples of workshops and sessions featured at
this year’s event include:
“Tips, Pitfalls and Best Practices for Managing
Nonprots’ Risk with Third Parties,”
“Walk With Me Through 990-T: Tax Reform
Changes and Strategies,
“The Final Countdown: How the Lead Up to
the 2020 Election is Impacting the Financial Mar-
kets” and
“Endowment Best Practices and Policy
Collaboration.”
The event will offer two full days of live concur-
rent sessions, for up to 16 Continuing Professional
Education credits obtained on-site. However, new for
this year, all possible sessions will be recorded and
available immediately so that participants can still
earn up to 21 total credits by viewing any sessions
they could not attend in person.

Nonprot Leadership Alliance’s
Alliance Management Institute
The Nonprot Leadership Alliance will host its
annual Alliance Management Institute Jan. 5–7,
2020, in Kansas City, Mo.
According to organizers, the AMI is a capstone
experience for students seeking the Certied Non-
prot Professional credential and is the only national
conference expressly designed to prepare the more
than 500 participating college students for a career
in the social sector. The event draws upperclassmen,
graduate students and professionals dedicated to
building the capacity of nonprot organizations,
and features an array of educational workshops,
networking opportunities and career development
activities.
The purpose of the conference is to expose future
social-sector leaders to a vibrant learning experience
that promotes best practices, innovative thinking
and awareness of the full scope of the sector.
