The Corps Network National
Conference
The Corps Network will hold its 2018 National
Conference Feb. 11–14 in Washington, D.C.
The annual gathering brings together national,
state and local leaders in the elds of youth devel-
opment, community service and the environment.
According to organizers, attendees include approxi-
mately 200 directors and senior staff from Service and
Conservation Corps across the country; ofcials from
federal agencies; representatives from philanthropic
foundations; and friends and supporters of the Corps
movement.
This year’s conference theme is “The Trail Ahead”
and will examine innovation within the Corps move-
ment, as well as new ways in which Corps can con-
front larger societal concerns. Attendees will hear
how Service and Conservation Corps use technology
and creative partnerships to better meet their Corps
members’ needs; promote program efciency; and
expand work in such elds as resiliency, food security,
marine conservation and infrastructure improvement.
The conference will also take up the issue of racism
and creating equity in the Corps and conservation
movements.

Stanford Social Innovation Review’s
Data on Purpose conference
The Stanford Social Innovation Review will host a
two-day conference, “Data on Purpose: The Promise
and Pitfalls of the Connected World,” Feb. 15–16 in
Stanford, Calif.
According to organizers, this year’s Data on Pur-
pose conference will be a mix of plenary and breakout
sessions, examining some of the larger forces for good
and ill shaping public discourse and action—from
“click-tivism” and cyber-hate to movement-building
to fake news—and present emerging technologies and
tools that can make the work of social innovation
more efcient and effective.
Topics that will be explored at this year’s confer-
ence include:

The DMA Nonprot Federation will hold its An-
nual Washington Nonprot Conference Feb. 21–23
in Washington, D.C.

insightful solutions and think creatively to help make
the relationship with their donors even stronger.
Conference tracks will focus on the key steps of
building, discovering, retaining and transforming
nonprot donor bases through effective marketing
