Corps Network National Conference
The Corps Network will hold its 2017 National
Conference Feb. 12–15, 2017, in Washington, D.C.
According to organizers, this annual gathering
draws national, state and local leaders in the elds of
youth development, community service and the envi-
ronment. Attendees include approximately 200 direc-
tors and senior staff from Service and Conservation
Corps across the country; ofcials from federal agen-
cies; representatives from philanthropic foundations;
and friends and supporters of the Corps movement.
The theme for the 2017 National Conference is
“Moving Forward Together: Promoting Racial, En-
vironmental & Community Equity.” Attendees will
discuss the ways in which their organizations and the
young people they serve address racial, environmental
and community inequities on a day-to-day basis. They
will also reect on their own biases, knowledge decits
and shortcomings regarding these topics. By talking
about these issues and sharing their experiences, they
hope to begin to heal, nd solutions and move forward
together.

2017 IMPACT Conference
The 2017 IMPACT Conference will be held Feb.
16–19, 2017, in St. Louis, Missouri.
The mission of the IMPACT Conference is to
connect, educate and mobilize attendees to strength-
en their communities through service, action and
advocacy.
IMPACT is billed as the largest annual conference
focused on the civic engagement of college students in
community service, service-learning, community-based
research, advocacy and other forms of social action.
According to organizers, IMPACT draws students,
administrators, faculty, AmeriCorps members and
VISTAs, and nonprot professionals who gather to-
gether to learn and share effective practices, improve
personal skills and organizational strategies, discover
opportunities and resources, exchange stories, and
be inspired and challenged to sustain their efforts.
IMPACT 2017 will showcase a variety of workshops
at all levels surrounding themes related to service,
action and advocacy.

DMA Nonprot Federation’s 2017
Washington Nonprot Conference
The DMA Nonprot Federation will host its 2017
Washington Nonprot Conference Feb. 22–24, 2017,
in Washington, D.C.
According to organizers, the event draws hundreds
of fundraising and marketing professionals eager to
exchange innovative marketing and fundraising ideas,
generate insightful solutions and think creatively to
help them make the relationship with their donors
even stronger.
The program provides some basic knowledge, and
then goes beyond the basics to explore the details
and metrics of ongoing successful direct marketing
programs. Utilizing plans, programs, data and results
gathered from actual client programs, you will learn
the answers to questions and issues such as:
Testing strategy: how to test, what to look for and
when to retest.
Creating a list strategy for acquisition, renewals
and appeals, including detailed segmentation strategies
by program.
Understanding the reports and information pro-
vided throughout the data hygiene and data processing
process, and how that will assist future marketing efforts.
What performance metrics should you be analyz-
ing, how to benchmark your campaign’s performance
and how to apply your analysis to ongoing programs.
What really is multichannel marketing, and how
to integrate strategy across channels with success.
In addition, this event will:
Provide education related to direct/interactive
marketing principles and practices.
Provide the latest in direct/interactive legisla-
tion, regulatory and standards-setting issues facing
nonprots.
Address ethical practices related to direct/
interactive fundraising and other communications.
