Computer-based CPA exam pilot completed.

The pilot version of the computer-based Uniform CPA examination was successfully completed, as reported by the AICPA, NASBA, and Thomson Prometric. Beginning April 5, 2004, Prometric will offer the computerized exams in 300 testing labs across the United States and its territories.

Benefits of the computer-based exam:

* Increases the opportunity to take the exam during eight months out of the year, instead of only twice a year.

* Allows flexible scheduling options.

* Integrates simulations with technology to test candidates on higher order skills required of entry-level CPAs.

* Provides temperature-controlled, well-lit, well-ventilated testing labs with private testing carrels.

There are 18 Prometric labs in Ohio:

* Athens

* Columbus

* Lima

* Reynoldsburg
