Columbia to play host to livability summit.

Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin will play host to the city of Columbia Age-Friendly Livability Summit in conjunction with AARP on Oct. 25.

The summit, which will feature interactive breakout sessions led by AARP experts, will take place from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Spirit Communications Park.

"As we look to the future with our Envision Columbia vision statement, creating an increasingly age-friendly city will be a major component of ensuring we become the city we desire to be," Benjamin said in a news release. "Residents of all ages should feel as if Columbia has the resources and support they need."
