Columbia City Councilwoman Aditi Bussells was elected to the board of directors for the National League of Cities at the organization's 2022 City Summit in Kansas City, Mo.

During her two-year term, Bussells will provide strategic direction and guidance for the League's federal advocacy, governance and membership activities, according to a news release. The NLC is the largest and most representative organization for cities, their elected leaders and municipal staff, and advocates for city priorities by building strong partnerships between the federal and local governments.
