Columbia City Council passes stay-at-home order.

Columbia City Council has enacted a stay-at-home order for the city of Columbia which will take effect Sunday at 12:01 a.m.

The measure passed during a City Council session held on Thursday.

The ordinance (.pdf) includes a list of essential services, including health care, retail and service operations, along with infrastructure operations and manufacturing, which will remain open.

Citizens are encouraged to enjoy outdoor activities but not to come into close contact with other people.
