§37.3 HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
CR 37 was adopted in 1967 when the Civil Rules for Superior Court superseded the Rules of Pleading Practice and Procedure (RPPP). Before the adoption of CR 37, RPPP 37 had been in the same general form since 1951. When it was adopted, the wording of CR 37 was virtually identical to FED. R. CIV P. 37. The federal rule was revised extensively in 1970, and in 1972 CR 37 was amended to conform to FED. R. CIV P. 37.
