§ 3.9 • OTHER FEDERAL STATUTES COMPELLING, LIMITING, AND REGULATING THE ARBITRATION PROCESS

In addition to the FAA's providing for arbitration generally, numerous federal statutes provide in one form or another for arbitration, including the following:

• 5 U.S.C. § 7122, Arbitration in labor disputes;
• 7 U.S.C. § 255, Federal Arbitration Act not negated by provisions of the Agricultural Warehouse Act;
• 7 U.S.C. § 671, Arbitration and mediation of disputes concerning milk under the Agricultural Marketing Agreement Act;
• 9 U.S.C. §§ 201, et seq., Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards;
• 9 U.S.C. §§ 303, et seq., Inter-American Convention on International Commercial Arbitration;
• 16 U.S.C. § 973n, Arbitration under the Tuna Convention and agreements;
• 17 U.S.C. § 1010, Providing for arbitration of certain disputes involving digital audio recording devices and media, and defining procedures therefor;
• 22 U.S.C. §§ 290k-9 and 290k-11, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency arbitration;
• 22 U.S.C. § 1650a, Providing for enforcement of arbitration awards rendered under the Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes Between States and Nationals of Other States;
• 25 U.S.C. § 416a, Arbitration in contracts affecting land within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian community;
• 28 U.S.C. § 2677, Attorney General authorized to utilize arbitration in claims under the Tort Claim Act;
• 35 U.S.C. § 294, Voluntary arbitration of patent rights, Patent and Trademark Office awards, and modifications;
