§28.4COMPARISON WITH FEDERAL RULE
Prior to 1980, CR 28 was identical to Fed. R. Civ. P. 28, except for the initial section applicable to depositions within Washington. Since that time, Fed. R. Civ. P. 28 has been amended three times and CR 28 has been amended four times.
FED. R. CIV. P. 28 was amended effective August 1, 1980. The amendment introduced two changes. First, the word "jurisdiction" replaced "dominion" in FED .R .CIV. P. 28(a). Second, the 1980 amendment added the following sentence to the end of Fed. R. Civ. P. 28(a): "The term 'officer' as used in Rules 30,31, and 32 includes a person appointed by the...
