§22.3 HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT
CR 22 was adopted on May 5, 1967, and has not been amended since its adoption. However, the rule has long-standing statutory antecedents. In Washington, courts have permitted interpleader in at least some circumstances since the late nineteenth century through RCW 4.08.150-.180 and predecessor statutes. Pursuant to CR 22(b), RCW 4.08.150-. 180 remain fully effective.
