Breland joins SC Power Team as director of site development.

Rebecca Breland has joined South Carolina Power Team, a nonprofit economic development organization representing the state 20 consumer-owned electric cooperatives, as its director of site development.

Breland, a registered professional engineer with a degree in civil engineering from Clemson, will assist with product development, working with co-ops and community partners to develop market-ready sites. She will also work to ensure sites are competitive throughout selection processes for project decisions in SC Power Team service territory.

Breland joined the S.C. Department of Transportation in 2014 as assistant program manager for the Pee Dee region and was promoted to program manager for the Waccamaw region. She was responsible for the development of more than 30 transportation department projects. She has also worked for Alliance Consulting Engineers, developing more than 30 industrial site certifications with the S.C. Department of Commerce.
