THE ABA EDUCATION FOUNDATION is calling on all banks to participate in its fall financial education programs: Get Smart About Credit Day, which is set for Oct. 18 and celebrated throughout the month, and Lights, Camera, Save!, which will run Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.

Now in its tenth year, the Get Smart About Credit program is a national campaign of volunteer bankers who help teens and young adults learn the how-to's of credit. Get Smart About Credit Day is an opportunity to engage students in their financial future. They share ways to use credit wisely and explore terms like "APR" and "credit scores" with students.

The Lights, Camera, Save! video contest encourages young people to use video to communicate the value of saving and using money wisely. Banks will host the local level of the competition and will select a winner to represent their bank and compete on the national level for prizes of $3,000, $1500...
