Annual Conference
The National Urban League Annual Conference
will be held Aug. 5–8 in Houston.
According to organizers, the goal of this annual
event is to arm each participant with real-world
solutions to urban challenges and empower you to
be a change leader in your respective community. The
conference will bring together the nation’s leading
political, business and community leaders to convene,
share ideas and discover solutions to issues that have
historically plagued underserved urban communities
across the country.

ASAE Annual Meeting and Expo
The American Society of Association Executives
will hold its 2020 Annual Meeting & Exposition Aug.
8–11 in Las Vegas.
According to organizers, this conference brings
together thousands of association professionals and
industry partners each year to exchange resources,
strategies, solutions and more. Over three days of
keynote speeches, work sessions and training events,
attendees will be equipped with a year’s worth of
support in their daily responsibilities as leaders in
the association industry.
The conference will feature more than 100 learning
sessions, organized along the following tracks:
• achieving global success,
• CEO–executive directors,
• senior executives aspiring to CEO and
• young professionals as future leaders.

2020 Netroots Nation
Netroots Nation will be held Aug. 13–15 in Denver.
For more than a decade, Netroots Nation has hosted
the largest annual conference for progressives, draw-
ing nearly 3,000 attendees from around the country
and beyond. The event—now in its 15th year—draws
attendees such as online organizers, grassroots activ-
ists and independent media makers—some who work
professionally at advocacy organizations, progressive
companies and labor unions, while others do activism
in their spare time. Attendees can choose from a wide
variety of sessions and content, including:
Trainings. Trainings cover all skill levels, from
basic online organizing to advanced, plus communi-
cations, grassroots activism and more.
Panels. The conference includes panels on almost
every progressive issue, from current battles to long-
term movement strategy.
Keynotes. This year’s keynotes were not nalized
as of press time. Past speakers include Vice President
Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Van Jones.
Networking. Attendees can collaborate during
downtime, strategize at a caucus and build friendships
at one of many social events.

2020 Tech Forward Conference
Tech Impact will host its 2020 Tech Forward Con-
ference Sept. 13–15 in Denver.
According to organizers, Tech Forward creates a
forum to bring a larger conversation to the nonprot
sector that looks past methodical day-to-day IT and
toward mission-focused, transformative applications
of technology. The presentations and work sessions
are aimed at elevating the conversation around how
technology can change the way nonprots work as
mission-focused organizations.
