FILING REQUIREMENTS

Documents

• All text must be double-spaced.

• Use 1-inch margins on all sides.

• File a docketing statement for every case appealed or cross appealed. A docketing statement form can be

found on the court’s website.

• The judgment appealed from and any supporting documentation must be included in an addendum. Any

jury instructions that are the subject of the appeal must be included in an addendum.

Briefs

• Backings are required for briefs and appendices only.

• Use 14-point Times New Roman or 12-point Courier font.

• Do not use a sans serif font such as Arial.

• Principal briefs are limited to 30 pages, 13,000 words of 1,300 lines. See §450 for a brief page limitation guide.

• Headings and footnotes count toward the length count. Tables of Content or Authorities do not count.
