AFA Elections: The 2016 AFA elections will again take place online. All

voting-eligible AFA members should receive an email in mid-October with a

direct link to an individual ballot. If you do not receive this email or if you are

unable to vote online please contact Kate Chaloux at kachaloux@wiley.com or

781-388-8389. Please look at the biographical sketches on the ballot and then

vote by the deadline.

The AFA 2017 Annual Meeting will be held January 6–8, 2017 (Fri-

day, Saturday & Sunday) in Chicago, Illinois: ASSA Headquarters will

be the Hyatt Regency Chicago and the co-headquarters hotel will be the Sher-

aton Grand Chicago Hotel & Towers. Registration and Housing information

is available on the AEA website at https://www.aeaweb.org/conference/. Atten-

dees must go through the official housing company to get the convention rates.

AFA Financial and Board Meeting Summaries: The AFA Board of Direc-

tors has voted to publish a Board Meeting Summary to increase transparency

of AFA governance and decisions made by the Board. Recent Board Meeting

Summaries as well as AFA Financial Statements are posted on the AFA website

(www.afajof.org). We hope that this additional communication is informative

and we welcome your feedback.

AFA Annual Meeting Programs: AFA Annual Meeting Programs since 1950

are included in the set of all ASSA Programs available at the American Eco-

nomics Association website (http://www.aeaweb.org/Annual Meeting/assa pro-

grams/). Digitizing of the older programs was a joint effort of the AFA and the

AEA.
