2015 AFA Board Meeting Summary: The AFA Board of Directors has voted
to publish a Board Meeting Summary to increase transparency of AFA gover-
nance and decisions made by the Board. The Board Meeting Summary from
January 3, 2015 is now available on the AFA website (www.afajof.org). We
hope that this additional communication is informative and we welcome your
feedback.
The Journal of Finance Announces Search for New Editor: The current
contract of the JF editorial team expires in June 2016. We regret to inform
you that the editorial team has decided not to seek a renewal. The JF has
been extremely fortunate to have had Ken Singleton, Bruno Biais and Michael
Roberts as editors. We thank the JF editorial team for all their hard work. The
AFA Board is beginning the search process for a new editor. If you would like to
make a nomination, please send the information to Jim Schallheim, Executive
Secretary and Treasurer, at jim.schallheim@business.utah.edu.
The AFA 2016 Annual Meeting will be held January 3–5, 2016 (Sunday,
Monday & Tuesday) in San Francisco, CA: ASSA Headquarters will be
the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and the co-headquarters is the San
Francisco Marriott. Registration, housing and other meeting information is on
the AEA website at http://www.aeaweb.org/Annual_Meeting/index.php. Reg-
istration and Housing typically open in early September. Attendees must go
through the official housing company to get the convention rates.
AFA Annual Meeting Programs: AFA Annual Meeting Programs since 1950
are included in the set of all ASSA Programs available at the American Eco-
nomics Association website (http://www.aeaweb.org/Annual Meeting/assa pro-
grams/). Digitizing of the older programs was a joint effort of the AFA and the
AEA.
