U.S. fundraisers report signicant rise in salaries,
compensation for 2018
Average salaries for fundraisers in the United States
increased by almost 8% in 2018, the second year in a
row after several years of at or even declining pay,
according to the Association of Fundraising Profes-
sionals’ 2019 Compensation and Benets Report.
The report—based on survey responses from about
3,600 AFP members across the country—shows
that the mean salary for all respondents in 2018 was
$83,826, up 7.7% from the 2017 average of $77,862.
The median salary was $72,500, an increase of 8% from
the 2017 median of $67,100. Both gures far outpace
the for-prot sector and reect what the AFP deems a
“very positive job environment for fundraisers.”
The survey also broke down salary and compensa-

America’s Charities
acquires Causecast
America’s Charities, a membership-based non-
prot that works to enable employees and orga-
nizations to support causes they care about, has
acquired the Causecast giving platform. According
to America’s Charities, the acquisition, which was
completed in July, is a natural next step for the
organization and helps expand its suite of giving
and engagement solutions offered to social change
groups and their supporters in the business world.
America’s Charities has a long history in em-
ployee giving and engagement, with its platform
having raised some $700 million for more than
20,000 nonprots addressing a range of charitable
causes. The group has partnered with Causecast
since 2015, and spent the past four years servicing
clients using the Causecast software-as-a-service
technology.
According to Ryan Scott, founder and CEO of
Causecast, “America’s Charities’ extensive giving
and engagement experience, combined with its
commitment to philanthropy and social impact,
makes them an ideal long-term partner for the
philanthropic sector.”
With the Causecast services under its umbrella,
America’s Charities now offers what it says is a true
all-in-one giving platform that can help businesses
of any shape and size scale their giving programs
and achieve their giving, volunteering and social
impact goals.
