Ally bank launches new online banking platform.

ALLY BANK, MIDVALE, UTAH, the direct bank subsidiary of Ally Financial Inc. (assets: $99 billion), has announced the launch of its redesigned online banking site.

The new design is intended to be clearer and simpler to use--and is a reflection of current trends in online banking design.

Nearly one half of Ally's retail deposit customers use online banking. Ally says the new platform is designed to provide them with a simpler, smarter way to manage their bank accounts, as well as new features most frequently requested by customers.

In designing the new online platform, Ally reviewed best-in-class experiences both within and outside of the financial services sector and conducted extensive usability testing with existing and prospective customers.
