There has been a significant increase over the last year in the positive image of accounting, according to a recent Gallup poll.

Each year, Gallup measures the mages of various business and industry sectors within the United States.

Accounting improved the most compared to other sectors, going from a net rating of zero percent in 2002 (i.e., as many people gave it a negative rating as gave it a positive one) to a +31 percent this year.
