Zinn has too much faith.

Howard Zinn's piece on Iraq ("An Occupied Country," October issue) was truly brilliant and to the point. I just feel he has too much faith in people, especially the American people. Nixon was elected twice, even while he and Kissinger destroyed Cambodia. Disturbingly, Americans do not read history. Many still think we could have won the Vietnam War.
