Lehi -- Melanie Huscroft and Derek Maxfieid thought they had ambitious hopes for their new direct sales company, YOUNIQUE. But two and a half years later, breaking ground for a new 125,000-square-foot building, Huscroft says the business' progress has far exceeded their loftiest expectations for even their five- and 10-year marks.

"This growth has been something we could never have predicted," she says. "It's just been a dream come true."

The company, the first social media-focused business of its kind, has grown from a handful of people selling beauty products to more than 200,000 presenters in five countries, Huscroft says, and the company is planning to expand to two more countries by the end of the year.

Planning for the new five-story building, located within a stone's throw of the current Younique headquarters, started last fall with the goal of centralizing company operations--workers are currently spread between four buildings in different locations.

When the building is finished next May, it will house the company's customer service and development departments, as well as the business' philanthropic Younique Foundation. In addition, the building will have a cafeteria for workers, with a corporate...
