Xplor Boatworks expanding Richland County facility.

Boat designer and manufacturer Xplor Boatworks LLC will invest more than $3.4 million in its Richland County operations in an expansion expected to create 63 jobs.

Founded in 2017, Xplor Boatworks makes specialty recreational watercraft and is working on new skiff and center console boats up to 33 feet long. The Richland County-based manufacturer, located at 1124 Pineview Drive in Columbia, plans to purchase its existing location and expand it to increase capacity, according to news releases from Richland County and S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster's office.
