That translates into less pain and lost wages for employees and more productivity and fewer claims for employers. Community Healthcare System Occupational Health Services is helping employees and employers reap these benefits in Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois.

Prevention efforts include a variety of wellness programs that employees can participate in voluntarily. In most cases, these services are also extended to employee spouses and retirees. Employees can learn if they are at-risk for high blood pressure, heart disease or stroke, as well as learning how to lower cholesterol and lose weight. Many of these classes are FREE, while others have a nominal charge.
