A word from NDIA's Vice President of Operations.

Dear NDIA Members:

For the first time in over seven years, you will note a new photo and new signature on this page. Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Paul Greenberg relinquished his duties as vice president of operations in March of this year. NDIA owes Paul a sincere debt of gratitude for his distinguished service to the association and its membership. The impact Paul has had on government-industry relationships has been significant and his constant presence will be sorely missed. Fortunately, we will continue to be recipients of his wise counsel and vast experience as he continues to serve the association as a vice president 'emeritus' and as executive director of the Precision Strike Association.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you, and particularly division chairpersons and chapter presidents, for the warm welcome extended to me upon my joining the NDIA staff. With your continued support and encouragement I will do my very best to ensure that the critical work of the Association continues to be performed in a professional and productive manner.

2003 is shaping up to be a seminal year for our association as we keep pace with developments related to homeland security. By year's end, we will have conducted no less than five major events focused directly on this new mission set, culminating with a comprehensive Homeland Security Symposium in September, as well as a number of related events for which homeland security will be a primary focal point. We have refocused and renamed our Security Division as the "Homeland Security Division," and established a Homeland Security Working Group (HSWG), composed of representatives from each NDIA Division possessing a homeland security interest.
