A new law in Vermont restricts emissions from outdoor wood boilers. It sets a particulate matter (fly ash, soot, etc.) emission limit of 0.44 pounds per million BTUs of heat input for newly manufactured outdoor wood-fired boilers sold in Vermont or for installation in Vermont.
