The rightwing majority on the U.S. Supreme Court once again expanded its doctrine of corporate personhood with its ruling June 30 in Burwell u. Hobby Lobby, which will allow a range of corporations to deny reproductive health benefits and other benefits deemed contrary to the faith of the owner.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg issued a strong dissent pointing out the extreme and unprecedented nature of the ruling.

"Although the court attempts to cabin its language to closely held corporations, its logic extends to corporations of any size, public or private," she wrote.
