Women partners more prevalent at smaller CPA firms.

According to a new study by the AICPA, the percentage of women partners is greater at CPA firms that employ 10 professionals or less. The research also found that women hold 24 percent of firm partnerships in the United States, an increase from 19 percent in 2012.

The AlCPA's Women's Initiatives Executive Committee CPA Firm Gender Survey also found women make up:

* 26 percent of sole practitioners at firms with two to 10 professionals;

* 43 percent of partners at firms with two to 10 professionals;

* 39 percent of all partners at firms with 11 to 20 employees;
