Women In Defense Launches New Event Series.

* Women In Defense--an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association--partnered with Girl Security, the Notre Dame International Security Center and Women In International Security to present the first "Women Inspired to Serve," or WISE, event March 25.

The meeting featured a fireside chat led by two of the United States' most accomplished national security leaders--Michele Flournoy, a former undersecretary of defense for policy and the co-founder and current chair of the board of directors for the Center for a New American Security, and Ellen Lord, a former undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment--where they shared practical career advice.

The fireside chat was followed by a series of small-group networking sessions featuring senior defense leaders and moderated by students from Women In International Security and Girl Security.
