Women In Defense, the NDIA affiliate, awarded HORIZONS scholarships this fall to six students.

"This has been an exceptionally good year for HORIZONS. We certainly had some highly-intelligent applicants and some generous donors who made a huge difference," said Brenda McKinney, HORIZONS scholarship director.

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage women to pursue careers related to U.S. national security and defense and to provide development opportunities to women already working in these fields.
