People in Wisconsin fought Governor Scott Walker's proposal to strip public employees of their right to collectively bargain by taking to the streets for massive protests. On February 26, 100,000 people surrounded the capitol on a snowy afternoon. Demonstrators also slept overnight inside the capitol building for more than two weeks.
