In addition to providing a system for filing PCT applications, WIPO

provides a number of other patent services. Some of these are used by

the national offices, while other services are for users. These are ser-

vices that are typically Internet based and are easily accessible.

1. Priority Document Exchange

and Digital Access Services

Both the Priority Document Exchange (PDX) and Digital Access Ser-

vices (DAS) systems are intended to facilitate the furnishing of elec-

tronic copies of priority documents filed in an Office of First Filing

to an Office of Second Filing. The priority documents are transferred

electronically, thereby eliminating the need to send certified paper cop-

ies of the priority documents. There is no cost to applicants to use the

systems.
