AICPA wins awards for community service, job growth in North Carolina.

As part of its commitment to serving the local community, the Institute created the Corporate Citizenship Task Force to promote employee volunteerism when it moved the majority of its operations from N.J. to Durham in 2006. Approximately 415 employees work in the N.C. office. Two recent awards recognize the AICPA's contributions to the Research Triangle community. Another award honored the AICPA's job : growth in the Raleigh-Durham area and the Institute's employee-training programs.

The Institute earned the inaugural Best Community Development Award, sponsored by Accentuate Staffing, for its achievements in local outreach. The award cited the AICPA's partnership with the Durham Public Schools; its work with The Volunteer Center of Durham and Project Homeless Connect; its financial contributions to various local arts and educational organizations; and its sponsorship of the Durham Bulls Education Rewards Program, which enabled 10,000...
