Respected indie rock song-smith Ted Leo gives the Libertarian Party a new kind of pop-culture attention: a wounded attack song on its 2016 vice presidential candidate, former GOP Massachusetts Gov. William Weld.

As a synecdoche for the party's inability to gain political or cultural traction, the song "William Weld in the 21st Century" has seemingly nothing to do with Weld's role as a third-party candidate.
