Wiley names McMahan chief people officer.

John Wiley & Sons Inc. on Wednesday announced a new head of human resources to oversee the research and education company's "people strategy."

Danielle McMahan will report directly to Wiley President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Napack in her role as chief people officer, and manage the Hoboken-based business's global human resources operations.

McMahan comes to Wiley from most recently serving as executive vice president and chief human resources officer for private insurance and risk organization York Risk, where she supported more than 5,000 employees worldwide. According to Wiley, while there she led a transformation of York's culture and technology, developed and implemented a multi-year benefits strategy and rolled out a new employee-centric service delivery model.
