WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT; we are all the same. The photographic exhibit, "Contrastes de Mexico," highlights that country's contradictory yet complimentary elements in 70 photos by renowned Cuernavaca photographers Adalberto Rios Szalay and Maria de Lourdes Alonso Castillo.

"We have traversed many paths that have led us to know the real Mexico, the Mexico of the tropics, of the desert, of the plains, of the coral reefs and our cloud forests, to come to the happy discovery that, in each and every one of these environments our people have developed a cultural plurality according to its varied and rich natural base," the artists stated.

This is not the first time these two photographers have searched for a common thread among societies. From 1989 to 1991, they were commissioned by King Juan Carlos of Spain to visit and photograph 20 Latin American countries. The result of their endeavor was...
