Women In Defense will hold its annual meeting and dinner on April 16, at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va. The meeting will review and highlight WID's accomplishments for the year which ended on March 31.

At the meeting, the 2002-2003 national board of directors will be installed and the Distinguished Member of the Year will be announced. The keynote speaker will be Suzanne Patrick, deputy undersecretary of defense for industrial policy.

Picatinny Arsenal

WID leaders met in early March with professional women from Picatinny Arsenal, located in Dover, N.J. to encourage them to establish a local chapter. The luncheon meeting was sponsored by NDIA's Picatinny Chapter and Michael Devine, technical director of the U.S. Army's Tank-Auto-motive and Armament Command's Armament Research Development and Engineering Center.

Chapter Development

WID cultivates and supports the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security. WID membership provides ready access to:
