Why I'm for Mitt Romney.

As the most important election of my generation looms on the horizon, I'm doing all I can to ensure that Mitt Romney wins the White House. The skyrocketing national debt, the recent Supreme Court decision upholding "Obamacare," and the fact that millions of Americans are still out of work are just some of the issues that have motivated me to contribute my time to helping elect the candidate I believe will set America in the right direction.

This election has introduced Americans to two stark ideologies. The Obama administration has a record of expanding the size of government, with measures like the 2009 stimulus package, the auto industry bailout, and Obamacare, which requires every American to have health insurance or pay a penalty. These big-government programs translate into higher taxes, which can have negative long-term effects on the economy.

By contrast, Romney has the business mind-set to get our economy moving.

He will restore our constitutional freedoms, cut the deficit, and lower taxes and spending to put money back into people's pockets. His running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, has a budget proposal that offers real solutions for reducing our outrageous $16 trillion-plus national debt. Together, Romney and Ryan are solidifying the Republican ticket as the "Economic Comeback Team."

My passion for politics goes back to the 2008 presidential election, when I was a freshman in high school. I found myself siding with the Republican presidential candidate, John McCain, on many issues and felt inspired to help his campaign.
