Okay, so maybe we didn't always get the girl; that doesn't mean we can't pretend to be as cool and suave as Playboy founder Hugh Heffner---at least when it comes to our footwear. That's why we choose to putter around the mansion this winter in the "Heff" slipper from Auri, Laguna Beach, Calif., with a leather and suede upper and rubber sole. The texture is remarkably comfortable, while the open sides make it easy to slip on, and the warm and soft-as-can-be natural shearling lining provides some serious pampering.
