Psychologists at UNC-Chapel Hill were curious about how people envision God's face, so they created an image based on the opinions of over 500 US Christians. Each participant was shown hundreds of randomly varying face-pairs and asked in each instance to pick which looked more like God. All selections were then combined into a composite (below), which ended up as a far younger, more feminine, and less Caucasian image of God than is typically depicted in popular culture.
