White House Issues Al Bill of Rights.

Five principles that should guide the design, use, and deployment of automated systems to protect the American public in the age of artificial intelligence have been identified by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. This Blueprint for an Al Bill of Rights acts as a handbook to provide guidance whenever automated systems meaningfully can impact the public's rights, opportunities, or access to critical needs. This is important because Al is part of our present and future in an undeniable way.

"The Al Bill of Rights is a step in the right direction to protect the American people. Since technology moves at a faster pace than legislation and actions taken by governments, it's important to provide a broader guideline and stay out of specifics, enabling inventors and technologists to invent along the guidelines," explains Brian Sathianathan, cofounder and CTO of Iterate.ai.
