CURRENT MUSIC DIRECTOR of the Utah Symphony and conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, this maestro has conducted in cities from Cincinnati to Singapore. He has led the Utah Symphony before worldwide audiences during the opening ceremonies of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. He has recorded six albums with the Boston Pops Orchestra -- one of which was nominated for a Grammy And he's not bad on the slopes, either. "I love to ski, which is one reason the Utah Symphony job seems absolutely perfect," says Lockhart. Conducting dual seasons between Salt Lake City and Boston, the Poughkeepsie, N.Y native also takes time for hiking Utah's mountains or hibernating in his cabin on the coast of Maine.
