Cieslak is a principal of Information Technology Group, a computer consulting firm with offices in Encino, Camarillo and Valencia. He specializes in micro-computer accounting systems, the Windows operating environment, systems development and project management.

An active CalCPA member for many years, Cieslak has served on the Westside Technology User Group, was involved with the California Computer and Business Show and previously chaired the state Technology Committee. He has been a frequent Education Foundation speaker and instructor since the early '90s, addressing such topics as computerized accounting, hand-held computing, e-commerce and the Windows operating environment.
