A PORTABLE MILITARY vehicle weight-in-motion system has been pioneered by the computational sciences and engineering division of Tennessee's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The hardware and software automatically identify the equipment, determines the individual axle weights, distance between axles, total vehicle weight, profile and center of balance as the vehicle passes over the weighing pads.
