Webcasting wonders: setting the standard for online CPE.

Welcome to CalCPA's new and improved webcasts, the cutting edge of online continuing education.

The CalCPA Education Foundation has been in the webcasting business for quite some time, but what distinguishes CalCPA's offerings is our volume and quality--both of which have been steadily increasing for the past four years.

"This year we offered CPE over virtually every platform possible; our investment in technology has been unprecedented in our history," says Thomas Fil, Education Foundation board president. "With more than 1,000 CPE courses availabl, many accessible through the intrrnet CalCPA. Education Foundation can meet our members' CPE needs from any place at any time."

While most organizations offering webcasts rely strictly on the two-hour, audio-only model. CalCPA has been one of the most prolific providers of eight-hour, video-based webcasts. And based on feedback, our attendees have found these to be engaging.

Between May 2010-April 2011, the Edited Foundation produced about 120 eight-hour webcasts of live events.

The next year, we increased that to about 200 eight-hour webcasts of live events and a total nearing 250. In 2012-13 we wrapped up 450 eight-hour courses and plan, in 2013-14, to bump that up by more than 100.
