Scope: The Environmental Protection Agency seeks
applications for the FY21 Region 10 Healthy, Resilient,
and Sustainable Communities Grant Program to improve
community health, resilience, and/or sustainability
through pollution prevention and/or sustainable
materials management implementation.
Deadline: April 30, 2021.
Funds: Approximately $120,000 total for two to four
awards ranging from $30,000 to $60,000.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district, and
Native American tribal governments, among others.
Areas: EPA said project examples include but are not
limited to those that: provide technical assistance to
businesses and their facilities to help them develop and
adopt source reduction practices; conduct trainings
or conferences/roundtables for businesses and P2
technical assistance providers to share pollution
prevention best practices or to demonstrate a pollution
prevention technology; and develop and promote
site-specic pollution prevention assessments to
help businesses and communities prioritize which
environmental problems to address, and in which order.

Watershed Assessments for the National Water

Scope: The Agriculture Department’s Natural
Resources Conservation Service seeks applications
for the Watershed Assessments for the National Water
Quality Initiative (NQWI) announcement for an 18-month
cooperative agreement with an entity with expertise in
watershed assessment plans.
Deadline: March 31, 2021.
Funds: $200,000 total for up to four awards ranging
from $40,000 to$75,000.
Eligibility: Unrestricted.
Areas: USDA said funding provides technical
assistance to assist NRCS with completing three
watershed assessment plans on HUC12 delineations in
the Caribbean (HUC14 for St. Thomas).

Adaptive Sports Programs for Disabled Veterans
and Disabled Members of the Armed Forces (VA)
Scope: The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks
applications for the FY21 Grants for Adaptive Sports
Programs for Disabled Veterans and Disabled Members
of the Armed Forces (Adaptive Sports Grant Program)
to plan, develop, manage, and implement programs
to provide adaptive sports activities for veterans and
members of the armed forces with disabilities.
Deadline: March 31, 2021.
Funds: $16 million total for awards of up to $750,000.
Eligibility: Unrestricted.
Areas: The VA said adaptive sports activities include:
(1) instruction, participation, and competition in
adaptive sports; (2) training and technical assistance to
program administrators, coaches, recreation therapists,
instructors, VA employees, and other appropriate
individuals; (3) coordination, Paralympic classication
of athletes, athlete assessment, sport-specic training
techniques, program development (including programs
at the local level), sports equipment, supplies,
program evaluation, and other activities related to the
implementation and operation of the program.

Advancing translational research on Alzheimer’s
Disease and AD-Related Dementias (NIA)
Scope: The National Institute on Aging seeks (T32)
Institutional National Research Service Award
applications for the Institutional Training Programs to
Advance Translational Research on Alzheimer’s Disease
(AD) and AD-Related Dementias announcement to
enable the development of a diverse, translational
research workforce capable of participating and/
or leading cross-disciplinary team science programs
focused on advancing therapy development for
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and AD-related dementias
(ADRD).
Deadline: Letters of Intent are due 30 days before
application due date. Proposals are due May 25, 2021;
Sept. 27, 2021; May 25, 2022.
Funds: $2.5 million FY22 for three to ve awards. The
maximum project period is ve years.
