Want to lead a SEAL team into combat?

Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc., of Foster City, Calif., has released a new electronic game that allows players to lead a team of the U.S. Navy's elite SEALs (Sea-Air-Land commandos) into combat. The game--known as SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs--was developed by Zipper Interactive Inc. for Sony's PlayStation 2 system.

Players can take the role of a SEAL commander whose team s mission is to fight terrorists and, in the process, encounters obstacles such as enemy ambushes. The team also performs reconnaissance and hostage rescues in four international locations, said Ami Baire, Sony's product marketing director.
