ColoradoBiz Managing Editor Mike Taylor earned a first-place award for feature writing in the magazine category from the Alliance of Area Business Publications at its annual conference in June, which this year was in Denver.

Taylor, who joined ColoradoBiz in 2001, was honored for his July 2006 story, "Small fries," which profiled Front Range mom-and-pop burger joints.
