James Walbert has been awarded the National Defense Industrial Association's 2011 Walter W. Hollis Award for lifetime achievement in defense test and evaluation. The award was presented at the organization's 27th Annual Test & Evaluation Conference, in Tampa, Fla., in March.

A mathematician with nearly four decades of experience in Defense Department T&E and related areas, Walbert serves as chief scientist for the Survice Engineering Co., headquartered in Belcamp, Md.
