To commemorate this year's inductees into Financial Executives International's Hall of Fame--numbers 12 and 13--more than 200 people attended a black-tie gala at The New York Palace Hotel on Nov. 15.

CNBC's on-air personality Tyler Mathisen hosted the 5th annual event to induct into the FEI Hall of Fame Karl M. von der Heyden and Ulyesse J. LeGrange. Accompanied by their wives and surrounded with family and friends, the inductees were celebrated and cheered by those in the audience.

In welcoming remarks, Taylor Hawes Sr., chief financial officer of Intellectual Property and Licensing for Microsoft Corp., the Hall of Fame Premier sponsor, noted that each year FEI/Financial Executives Research Foundation raises the bar for exceptional inductees, and that "this year was no exception."

Speaking on behalf of his peers in the room, Hawes said "We are proud to honor two exemplary financial executives who demonstrate what we all strive to achieve: Excellence." He added that as financial executives, "we hope to look back on our careers with integrity and pride."

FEI's Chairman for 2010-11 Brian Ruttencutter, CFO, Cummin Group, had brief comments, as did Kim Gazzola, VP for Finance and Administration, Cambridge College, and chair of Financial Executives Research Foundation, the research affiliate of FEI that is the beneficiary of proceeds from the Hall of Fame.
